Blowin' In The Wind
Lately it seems like there's been a black cloud hanging over me. No matter where I go, no matter where I stand, no matter what I'm doing, there's no sun shining on me. Must've been raining on me well nigh forty days and forty nights now, I s'pect. Every time I think I'm making headway the wind starts to howl and it blows me back to where I started from. It's gotten to where it's pretty hard for a fella to stay on the sunny side of the street these days. My heart's as gray as those wind swept clouds. But, even when it is sunny I feel as blue as those clear blue skies. They say that into each life some rain must fall and I don't doubt that. But, right now it feels like I'm on the mat side of a wrestling match with a Kansas sized twister...and the referee is Fate...and we all know that Fate is blind.
Well, at this point I don't care if the sun don't shine. I won't let the sun catch me crying no how. Let the four winds blow, I say. I gotta think it'll all pass eventually, and soon enough I'll find my place in the sun. A person has to keep their head above water if they want to survive in modern times such as these. Sink or swim...dig yourself out with a shovel and a pick axe...and look for the silver lining in every cloud. You gotta make your way through the fog.
But, for now there's stormy weather ahead and I'll just have to forge on...through rain, sleet, or snow. I don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
I'm talking 'bout the weather...
